Schools attempt to prevent campus crime

Penn State University recently released its annual campus crime report, which revealed some alarming spikes in safety issues. According to the report, the number of forcible sex offenses that took place on campus in 2011 nearly tripled since 2009. In addition, there were 339 arrests for drugs on campus in 2011, as well as 805 alcohol-related arrests and 112 burglaries reported in 2011.
